Feliz Día de las Madres !!

Holaaaaa !! 

Another week of walking up and down the sierras, talking with everyone in las calles y colectivo, studying the words of modern and ancient profetas, eating empanadas and milanesa de pollo, and best of all sharing the good news that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The mission life is the best life and I'm trying to soak it all in!! 

Conferencia de Zona

A highlight of this last week was without a doubt Zone Conference! It is always a feast, both spiritually and physically. Las facturas y un almuerzo riquismo are huge blessings, but the revelation of course is the best. It's a treat to be able to learn from President especially as he always seems to deepen my understanding of the scriptures and has a special spirit. I felt I got a ton of revelation from some things he shared and overall just a great day. 

Amigos 

- Sofia. She's slowly but surely making her way! She's reading the Book of Mormon every day and even though she couldn't make it to sacrament meeting, went to a single adult activity last night and had a great experience. She said it's the first time in her life she has felt like God is on her side. Of course He has always been there but it is so amazing to see the change that is taking place in her!! The power of "Hábitos de Éxito" is real!! There is a recognizable light in her as the power of the Atonement is truly changing her as she is choosing to live the gospel. 

- Gaston. He and his fiance have been super busy lately so it's been tough to meet with him, but they made it to church and had a great experience!! He really is almost too elect because everyone already thinks he's a member haha. But he brought his kids as well and they loved it too. Seeing families together at church has to be one of the best sights there is. 

- Alejandro. The other day we were crossing a bridge on a way to a lesson and there was a man with his horse by the river. We stopped to talk and he was immediately super open to our message and after a little as well told us about the recent death of his father. We set a return appointment and we were able to have one of the best lessons of my mission! We basically taught him the first 3 discussions at the same time and his questions and understanding were practically perfect. We are super excited to keep teaching him and hopefully his mom as well! 

- Pedro and Marcelo. Our two amigos who recently got baptized are doing great!! They both are so solid and it is incredible to hear there testimonies and see their continual desire to follow the Savior. We are hoping to be able to go to the temple with both of them here in the next few weeks! There is nothing that makes me happier than seeing these two continue on the path. 

Pensamiento Espirtual 

My spiritual thought comes from "los Presidentes." In Zone Conference Presidente Hintze shared some of his insights and we all had a great discussion about Presidente Nelson's most recent conference talk. It was a spiritual banquete. President focused on a several of the points from the talk, especially the true JOY that comes from repentance. As well, seeking and expecting miracles. But the part that had the biggest impact on me was what he shared about How the Lord works. I have pondered this a ton since and it is really powerful. One way I have seen and felt is that our Heavenly Father always works through love. His love is infinite and constant. His plan for us is as perfect as His love. There are no errors, and because of that we can trust in Him. We know that everything we experience in this life is according to His perfect understanding and knowledge of what we need to learn, grow, and ultimately become more like Him. President posed the question of why didn't the same angel that must've been sent to place the Liahona in front of the tent of Lehi not simply also bring the plates before as well? The Lord knew what Nefi and the rest of his family needed for their journey, espiritually and physically. I know Heavenly Father's plan is perfect, His love is infinite, and He is always mindful of us! We can trust in Him at all times. As well, our Savior lives and His Atonement is real.

Amo a mi Mamá 

Lastly I have to have to say happy Mothers Day en los estado unidos to all of the Mothers there, and especially of course to my angel mother!! The love of a mother is the most genuine, unconditional, sefless, and closest to the pure love of Jesus Christ there is. I have experienced and felt this every day of my life from my own mother and am eternally grateful for her. She is amazing and Christ like in every way and I can't wait to give her the biggest hug in a few months. I hope you all had a fantastic day yesterday and give my mom a hug for me if you see her!!
