Keeping it Rolling
June 13, 2022
Holaaa!! Que tal ?!
We had a really great week!! Always nice when there aren't changes at the transfer to just keep all the positive momentum rolling and we were able to see some things continue to come together with our amigos!! Praying for miracles!! But with that, I'll just get right into it!
Amigos !!
- Gaston. He was back from his honeymoon this week and we were able to have great family home evening last Monday night with him, his wife and the best friend of her. It was a great experience and another powerful opportunity to teach and testify to Gaston of the power of the Book of Mormon! It truly is the most powerful instrument of conversión and I know it'll ultimately be what will be the deciding factor for him to be baptized.
- Adrian, Angel y Lucía. We had another Noche de Hogar on Wednesday night with all three of our friends, their respective families and our Obispo!! It was a fantastic time on all levels to strengthen the relationships and testimonies of all those there! For the returning member mom, recent convert Adrian, little amigos Angel y Lucía, our rock solid bishop and his family, and of course us for as well. It was especially fun to see Angel laughing uncontrollable during the game we played at the end. At church Lucía ran up to us and gave us some pretty impressive art work I'll make sure to attach below. They are the best and both super excited for the 25th!!
- Marcelo. My man Marcelo has been a little sick but he was finally fully recovered this weekend. He has such a strong testimony and we are super excited to hopefully be going to the temple with him, and Adrian as well, to do baptisms this next week!
- Florencia. Our amiga Florencia is super funny, always sending us rather dramatic voice recordings about how tired she is at the end of the day but still has the resilient faith to make time for us and is doing really well! We are praying everything goes smooth this next week, but we are all pumped for baptism this next Saturday.
- Nelson. Our friend Nelson is a stud! He's a referencia from one of the best members in the ward and it is incredible to see how big of an impact good fellowship makes. Nelson made it to church again and this time he brought his three kids!! It was awesome to see him explaining the Sacrament to them before the meeting started and they all had a great time. We are praying their mom's heart will be more open and they can all progress towards having an eternal family together.
- Sofia. We had a really good lesson with Sofia this week! It has been hard with her addictions for her to feel like she can overcome them but we are continuing to see some progress! She went to another activity for single adults and said she felt the spirit really strong, yet another testament of the power of members in missionary work. Keep praying for Sofia por favorrrr!!
Otras Altas
- Empanadas and a really positive meeting with the Obispo of the other ward we have that has been a little bit more difficult.
- Carne Asado yesterday with a family in our ward and their cousins who aren't members!
- We found we are going to have a Conference this next week with the whole mission before Presidente y Hermana Hintze head home. So lots of big things this next week!!
- Made it back up to a little pueblito called Salsipuedes to visit some friends and members there. The views were great (Not quite like Utah though) and the people even better!
- Had the chance to give a talk on Sunday and testify of missionary work and revelation
Pensamiento Espiritual
The power Book of Mormon continues to be on my mind and just how it truly is, as it says in Preach My Gospel, the most powerful instrument we have to conversión. It truly contains the fulness of the everlasting Gospel and brings the spirit into my life every time I read it. As I strive to apply its teachings, I have seen the power of the Atonement come into my life and change who I am. I have had the sacred privilege to see it with my friends as well as they do same. I'll leave you all with just one line of power and truth about our Savior Jesus Christ from Samuel the Lamanita.
Helamán 13:6
"and nothing can save this people save it be repentance and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ, who surely shall come into the world, and shall suffer many things and shall be slain for his people."
Los amo a todos ustedes!! Que tenga una buena semana!! Chau!
Amor,
Elder Jackson
