Bautismo!!

Hola Hola!! Fue otra buena semana!

Another great week here that was highlighted by the baptism of Joel!! Such an incredible experience to see him follow our Savior's example to be baptized and become a member of His church!! It was a little surreal honestly haha. I'm used to our big family baptisms with all the extended family there. It was different to have it just be me and my companions, the ward mission leader, the bishop, and the man himself, Joel. That being said, the spirit was so strong and it was such a happy event. I really feel Joel would've accepted the gospel from anyone, I'm just so grateful to have been able to be a part of his journey. The Lord's work is incredible and it's amazing to have a front row seat to it. 

Other great things in the week! We had some awesome lessons and tender mercies, including a super powerful blessing for Don. Some more service digging ditches, cutting down bushes, washing a car, and picking up a lot of dog poop. After that and sitting in dog hair at every house we go to, I don't know if I can ever get a dog. Maybe a hypoallergenic one that doesn't shed but I'm not sure at this point haha. Also, we also got in contact with a few people who some missionaries met a few years ago but for whatever reason hadn't been taught, which I'm super excited about! 

One unfortunate thing this week was we got a text from President saying we aren't alowed to go into houses for the time being because of a recent spike in the covid numbers here in New Mexico. So we may be going back into a quarantine, which would be a bummer. That being said, I have faith and know that all things are done according to God's perfect plan!

I was reading this week in the end of Alma about the 2000 strippling warriors, of one my favorite stories. In Alma 57:27 it says "...they are young, and their minds are firm, and they do put their trust in God continually." I love this description so much and know we are blessed as we continually put our trust in the Lord!! He is so mercifully and loving to all. It's incredible to testify of God's love for His children each day.
