Feliz Halloween !!

Holaaa hola!! 

We had yet another great and busy week here! It is a huge blessing and I'm loving it all. We also had a super great and busy pday as well so this update might be a little shorter! You're welcome haha 

Amigos! 

-La Familia Medrano. They all came to church!! It was the first time the dad had been able to make it and he had a great experience! It's a huge miracle, he said he found someone to work for him on Sundays, so he should be there every week now! And as well the Kids going to be in the primary program which is so awesome. And dinner with them last week was insanely good!! Love this family so much 

-La Familia Saucedo. The dad told us this week at church that they want to be baptized and are ready to do whatever it takes so we planning to get them on date this week

-Adela. She continues to be on fire with the Libro de Mormón but still wants to keep learning before setting a baptismal date. Pray for her please so that she can feel ready!! We know the Lord has been preparing her. 

-Jasmine. New lady found through media referral this week. She told us about some crazy things going on in her life and some freaky stuff in her house so we went over and gave her a blessing and blessed the house. It was a super cool experience and the perfect way to help her gain a testimony of the priesthood. And she came to church with her mom!! 

Exchanges!

We had a couple exchanges this week and they were both incredible!! The first was with the APs and I was able to learn so much from Elder Marshall. He is a crazy good teacher and Elder Woodhouse and I are really trying to emulate the way he used inspired questions in our lessons. The next day we had another fantastic exchange with the Elders down in  Socorro. This was a special one because we actually decided to blitz the area, meaning Elder Woodhouse and I both went there with the two of them. We met and taught some pretty rough looking people, almost all who have had some major drug addictions but the lessons were super powerful. It was so neat to see the hope and light that came into them as Spirit testified of how they can be cleansed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the families we were able to teach as well was a house Elder Smith and I had knocked on when I was down there on a previous exchange about a month ago so that was awesome to see them again! And that same family made it to church on Sunday for the first time! The second half of the exchange we drove another hour out to the Navajo Reservation which is also in their area!! It was super cool to experience that and see a little of their culture. There are some pretty humble circumstances out there for sure. Most of them are still pretty scared of covid and some get offended pretty easily so you have to be careful. But we were able to meet and teach some awesome people out there as well. Definitely some super fun, hard working, and memorable days! 

Halloween

Kind of weird to be on the second round of holidays as a missionary! This Halloween wasn't anything too crazy and we had to be inside by dark. Nothing like the all out party my mom has for her favorite holiday back home. But the studies in the evening was a fun change and we got to watch an episode of the  The Chosen as a mission which definitely was a treat

Pensamiento Espiritual

My spiritual thought comes from something I was pondering about as we had the amazing opportunity of cleaning the temple this morning! It was really special to be back in the temple and feel the unique peace and comfort of the House of the Lord. Cleaning the temple though is interesting because it really isn't even a speck of dust, but that is the point! You are literally cleaning it before it even gets dirty. Our mission president has compared this to daily repentance and it's something I love. There is so much power in the temple, and as well in using the Atoning gift of Jesus Christ to cleanse ourselves every day. One last verse for you all! D&C 88:119
