Miércoles
Transfer day!! Fun morning seeing lots of people. Saw Elder Hannemann!! As well one of the greenies went to LP and is a super nice kid and then it turned out he got assigned to be in my zone!! Also got to get my NMAM ring after about waiting for a month so that was exciting! It was perfect the Nances sent me that check and I was able to go and cash it and use it for the ring. I've never really worn a ring before so it's kinda weird but in getting used to it more haha. And then on Wednesday we had Elder Saballos all day here with Elder Woodhouse and I, bc his comp was coming up from El Paso. It was a great day!! We were super busy and actually had a lot of fun together. We had a lot of lessons and then a meeting with Stake President Clark which was good. I think Elder Saballos was loving being with us because he like wants go be in leadership so bad so that was interesting but funny. And then we had dinner with the Perez family and it was a lot of fun andd she made pollo so that was a heck of a time. We had a late night though driving back up to the mission office to pick up E Saballos's comp. We got back around 10:30. Really good day tho!
Jueves
Slower day honestly, studies and planning and a meeting with some lessons that fell. But, we had a huge miracle at the end of the night!!! We called up Patricia again to teach her and follow up with the Word or Wisdom since we just left her to think about pray about it the time before. We were planning on reading D&C 89 but instead ended up sharing some completely different scriptures in the LdM. We were able to talk abt baptism as well, the importance of covenants and the blessings she will receive. Then Patricia goes yeah well I was driving to get my tea this morning and I thought to myself, maybe those elders are right. She said she knows she dependent on her coffee and tea and knows that God wants her to give them up. So so cool!!! I literally was thinking she was going to say she still thought it was a crazy thing in our church. I was sure how open her heart truly was but wow what a wonderful surpise!! We were so excited. She still has a lot of work to do to overcome the addiction but it is a huge step. After 9 we had to plan Zone Council which took some time but it was good! Elder Woodhouse and I are working so much better together. And our new DL Elder Peterson, from Salem actually, called and he just prayed with us and it was powerful, he is such a good guy.
Viernes
Zone council in the morning!! I again just felt like overwhelming sense of love for all the missionaries in the zone its such a cool feeling. Looking down every single one and feeling so grateful just to be with them. We had a great meeting, lots of great things shared and participation. We gave a training on teaching to the baptismal questions. Gives us direction in our teaching and prepares our friends to keep commitments and then sacred covenants with God. Covenants seriously are everything. After we had a zone lunch on the pavilion in the parking lot which was a lot of fun to be with everyone! We ran and got Blake's, a burger place here and it was way good. Then in the evening we called up Liz and Nathaly but they didn't answer. But I really felt we should go visit them. So we went over and they were outside when we pulled up!! They had just gotten back from the store. We were able to have nice conversation after we hadn't been able to see them for a little bc they were all sick. We gave them their baptismal calendar and they are both really excited!! And two other major things were we found out Liz is indeed married to her husband, and then we taught the Word of Wisodm and they were a little sad about the cofee but it wasn't a big deal at all and both said they are totally good with it!!! Massive miracles there honestly. Then we knocked some doors and talked to a guy outside who was nice and somewhat interested. And finally stopped by this part member family and were ablento meet them and set up a time to teach them more.
Sábado
Saturdays are always great days as a missionary because people don't work so you can contact all day long!! We were able to go visit our friend Alejandro in the afternoon and he is seriously so funny. He understands everything we teach him super well and actually reads the things we give him. He read the Evangelio de Jesucristo pamphlet and was like yeah that's exactly what I believe. He always has some random questions too tho, they are sincere and he's genuine open it's just funny bc he talks a lot and goes on random tangents at times. So yesterday he asked us about gays as well as if we have to confess to leaders and stuff. But then we actually taught him the plan and it was good! He said he's just waiting to feel for sure but once he does, pues vamos haha. He is awesome and I think it really is just a matter of time with him. Then in the evening we went and visited the lady we met on Tuesday, from Honduras. We were there talking to her on her porch for a bit and were just about to leave when her son came home. Then he's like wait I've been talking to some guys like you on FB. turns out the APs of our mission starting messaging him a few weeks ago. So that was for sure a cool tender mercy!! He seems super legit and we are going to go teach him and his mom on Monday.
Domingo
Good day! Liz got busy tho and didn't make it to church and idek what happened w Patricia but she didn't make it either. But we had 7 solid lessons in the evening which were good! And we had dinner with the Gonzalezs and the Rodelos which is always the best. Grilled chicken is always my favorite and then she made this quinoa salad that is so dang good

Other things from the week

I listen to Conference talks as I workout and the other day I felt like every single talk i heard that morning was perfect for me so I thought I would make a list to keep and review maybe and if you need anything to listen to these she all so so good. Most of them were April 2011 in the. Also the Eclipse talk!!! I loved it and then I realized it was the exact day the Eclipse happened, August 21st!! Such a cool little tender mercy bc I randomly chose to listen to it.  Amazing memories with that Eclipse.

Alma and Sons of Mosíah
I read from about Alma 17 to Alma 30 this week and these have to be some of my absolute favorite chapters in the whole book of Mormon. These men are my biggest scripture hereos and especially as a missionary ive found their words so powerful and inspirational. There is a special joy I get from reading their stories. I have written a lot in my study journal the last little bit about them so I'll try to keep it more simple here but I wanted to mention my love for this section and these men.
Topics especially on my mind recently
Humility
Conversion - Becoming like Christ not just doing
Daily Repentance
Receiving revelation/Recognizing the Spirit
Communication
Charity, true love for others. Putting others needs before my own at all times
Overall feel
We are working so much better together and having a lot of fun!! I am so grateful to be a missionary. Instrumento in hands of the Lord is my biggest desire. Sometimes it stresses me out, I knowbthisbtime is such a privilege and I want to make sure I'm learning and changing as much as I can. But sometimes its kind of hard to measure. Baptisms don't really messure accurately but I do really really hope we can help some of the people we are teaching progress to that point. But also just personally I hope I am changing to be more like the Savior as much as I can but I definitely am still far from that. But I am loving the mission and Elder Woodhouse and I are getting along great and working well together, working really hard. I love the people here and am grateful for every day.
