El Templo!!

Hola a todos!! 

Second week down in the home MTC! Another solid week of classes, practice teaching, memorizations, and devotionals. The days get a little repetitive, but my comps make it a lot of fun! They really are awesome guys. Despite the monotony, there was one big thing that was different this week! I was able to go through the temple with my family!! I went with Matt, my parents, and both sets of grandparents last Friday. It was such a neat experience to go with them, the spirit in the temple is unlike any other and I’ve missed it so much the last 6 months that the temples have been closed. I’m so grateful I was able to make those promises with God and continue on the covenant path. The garments are a bit of an adjustment but I think Matt and I have finally figured out what we like best after getting just about one of every kind. The blessings that come with them are incredible!!

In my study I came across a scripture that resonated with me a lot as I was getting ready for the temple and also I strive to be obedient as a missionary. In Mosiah 5:5 it says, “And we are willing to enter into a covenant with our God to do his will, and to be obedient to his commandments in all things that he shall command us, all the remainder of our days.” I wish to add my voice to the people of king Benjamin who declared these words! 

Besides the temple I have been trying to  get out to play some golf at night which has been even better than normal after sitting in front of the computer all day. I love my family and getting to spend time with them. My time with them is running out! 

I fly out on Tuesday so the next time I’ll write I’ll be in New Mexico. Hopefully I’ll have some more exciting stories for you guys next time! Love you all!!
